7/21/03 Here we go! Jonathan H. dropped us off and snapped our picture, said goodbye, and made us promise to call if we needed anything. "I'll be mad at you if you don't call when you need something," he said as he waved from his truck window. He disappeared and we were alone with our backpacks. We gave each other reassuring hugs, took a deep breath, and said, "Together we can do anything." We turned and started up the hill behind us . . . on our Adventure of a Lifetime.
