7/21/03 This is the actual starting point. The Vermont border is 3.4 miles away. We hiked in about one tenth of a mile and came to a fork. Rough said to follow the blue blazes and Tumble wasn't sure so Rough hiked back to this sign to check. We didn't want to get lost within the first 10 minutes of our hike! As we moved out with every step Rough kept saying, "One step closer to Canada."
