7/21/03 As soon as we got on the LT we noticed a change in the trail topography. The path became more rugged with rocks and roots and big steps up and steep downs.

The skies darkened and with the smell of rain in the air we hiked 2.4 more miles to a wood's road crossing and passed huge boulders. About .4 m. south of the Seth Warner shelter we stopped to rest and were passed by Too Fiddy, an AT northbound hiker (NoBo) from Pittsburgh.
