8/14/03 This lookoff is at the end of a spur trail. It provides views to the west and southwest. Whenever we reached spur trails to views, shelters, and other trail features we had to decide if we wanted to take the detour. Our decision was based on time of day, how long we had yet to hike, and how tired we felt. We were glad we said yes to this one.
