8/23/03 Tumble knows how to maximize her trail breaks. Tumble: "We ate Tofurky Jurky for lunch on a nice lookoff on Ira Allen. Rough tried to warn me about hiking Ira Allen. He called it an 'unruly' and 'not well behaved' mountain and I would have to agree. It features a jumbled trail that seems to go on forever with ups and downs and 'round and 'rounds. Parts of the trail featured 'pokers' which were balsam branches that were cut so as to protrude into the hiking space and pose a serious hazard. Even the woods we hiked through seemed annoyingly un-definable."
