8/15/03 Snoring that went on all night bounced off the walls of the shelter, vibrated through the floor, and kept us awake. It was also a cold night and Emily Proctor is an exposed shelter. The cold wind blew right down our sleeping bags and kept us shivering all night. But sunny skies helped shake out our cobwebs. We ate breakfast, packed up, and headed out and up Mt. Wilson. We were almost immediately passed by Pilgrim and then Fancy Pants. Apparently Fancy Pants and No Pants were hiking together until they had a falling out and are now hiking separately. Fancy Pants will meet her husband at Battell Shelter and then leave the trail with him.
