7/23/03 Jonathan H. met us here with our first re-supply box. He drove us into Bennington and then all the way back to Williamstown before we finally found a replacement water purifier. We settled for one that requires tablets and a four hour wait to purify the water. Our old purifier required no waiting. For the first time we shouldered packs loaded with five days of food. We instantly noticed the difference and looked at each other in disbelief. Our packs felt much heavier and bulkier than before.
