8/15/03 On Mt. Cleveland while passing through a lot of blowdowns Tumble became a blowdown herself. Rough fanned her as she lay on the trail feeling like a pressure cooker. He joined her and we became a curiosity for a Black-capped Chickadee that hopped from branch to branch chirping and trying to get a better look at us. It seemed he was trying to figure out what we were doing. Soon other birds and a chipmunk joined in the query. So glad we could return the entertainment they have provided us so many times.
