8/17/03 A third night with little sleep. The mouse and snorer played a duet all night. Tumble took Tylenol before bed because the wrist she hurt climbing Worth Mtn was throbbing. And Rough's two stubbed toes were sore too. When Tumble left the shelter in the middle of the night for a potty break she tripped over someone sleeping on the ground near the shelter. That's the scariest or -- depending on your perspective -- the funniest thing that's happened to her in the middle of the night. Fatigued from the accumulation of three nights without sleep we can barely put one foot in front of the other. We are determined to make it home today and set off early before breakfast. We tackled the steep, but familiar climb up to Abe's summit.
