7/25/03 We met two LT SoBo hikers finishing their through hikes in a few days. Tom (pictured here) from Hoboken, NJ will finish his hike tomorrow after 15 hiking days on the trail and Cap'n Crunch will finish his tomorrow after 18 hiking days. Tom said, "I guess I'll have to come back and do it again to see what I've missed." So many hikers are in a hurry because of commitments to work or school that limit how much time they have to hike. We are lucky in that we can take our time, but so far we've felt like we're rushing from shelter to shelter to beat the rain. Walking in wet boots started to take its toll. Tumble took advantage of the break at Caughnawaga to dry off her feet and re-tape her blisters.
