8/25/03 We walked 3.1 miles on the road and met two SoBo thru hikers who seemed in good spirits. Although we didn't like the road walk we enjoyed looking at the farms, the river, and the flowers. Our feet burn and every muscle seems to cramp up and beg for any variation in terrain.
