Mama Bower's B&B - Richmond, VT | ||
8/25/03 When we got to the B&B the front door opened as we stepped on the porch and a kindly old man with a white beard, plaid shirt, jeans, and suspenders opened the door and greeted us warmly. His cheery faced wife appeared at his shoulder and ushered us in. Papa Bower took us upstairs to our room and then Rough went back down to arrange payment while Tumble opened our re-supply box and got ready to shower. But there was a snag downstairs. Mama and Papa don't take credit cards. While Tumble showered Rough walked to the bank to use his Visa card to obtain a cash advance. After dinner at the Bridge Street Cafe in Richmond we sat in the Bower's parlor and listened to a tape of Mayan flute music and wrote our journal.
Afterwards we went to our room, sorted our re-supply box, re-packed it with discards, and hopped into a nice snuggly bed.
