9/1/03 We said our good-byes in the parking lot surrounded by antiques. Alanna drove Marty back to his car in Stowe and we checked into our room. We showered and then ate salads and subs from Jana's. David allowed us into the family's private living space to do a load of laundry. We crashed upstairs and watched a Star Trek: Next Generation marathon on TV until bed. Marsha stopped by to ask us about breakfast and told us this was her family farm as far back as her grandfather which was sold and divided into five parcels until she was able to buy back the home and surrounding acres.
