9/2/03 We hiked north from Propspect Rock following an old road, turned left onto a dirt road named Propspect Rock Road, and then turned sharply right into the woods. This section was fairly flat and featured ferns and soft pine needles on the path. Next we hiked along a deep stream bed and then started the steady and winding climb up Round Top. Since we were only hiking 3.6 miles for the day we took our time and enjoyed a leisurely pace with plenty of time to enjoy our surroundings.
