9/2/03 Up we went to beautiful Roundtop Shelter, recalling a pleasant trip we made earlier this summer to check out the tent sites. We arrived at 11:45am and ate lunch on a bench at the back of the shelter with a northwest view overlooking the valley below. Today was as close as we've come to a real "zero day" on the trail. After we put up our tent we'll have the rest of the day to relax and soak up the peacefulness of our surroundings.
