9/2/03 We ate dinner early and sat on the porch and enjoyed a foraging chipmunk and the view over the valley below. Other hikers joined us: Mel and Miriam and their dog Frankie hiking south; Equinox and Gaia and their dog Jupiter; and then a NoBo with no trail name from Salem, MA. Finally Feather from Duxbury came into the shelter. Rough recognized her from a newspaper story about her hiking to raise funds for GMC LT protection. We all watched the sunset and then went to bed.
