9/3/03 We walked beside some old stone walls. Tumble was fascinated by them and couldn't even begin to imagine the backbreaking labor it took to unearth, move, and stack the boulders. The walls stand as an amazing testament to the struggle of men and women to clear the earth for planting and grazing. Unbelievable.
