8/5/03 We crossed Maine Junction, an important intersection where the AT and LT split. The AT continues northeast to New Hampshire and Maine and the Long Trail continues north to Canada. It's here where ATers and LTers say goodbye to each other. We will no longer read notes in the shelter journals from AT hikers who passed us by. Good luck to all.
